GRAVEL
Åkulla Outdoor Resort with its unique location in the Åkulla beech forests offers almost endless opportunities for Gravel, or dirt road cycling as we also call it.
We have long been a well-known watering hole for Gravel enthusiasts all year round and many make their rounds so that they can come to us for lunch or a coffee. For our overnight guests who want to ride Gravel, this means they get world-class gravel roads and Åkulla's well-known beech forests right outside their door.
The cycling is varied with partly winding forest roads, partly soft fast undulating roads on gravel. The traffic is minimal and it is no exaggeration to say that you can often count the cars you meet on one hand and sometimes maybe two.
The gravel roads in Halland have inspired cyclists for a long time and if you are a gravel cyclist, we give you the opportunity to experience the freedom and natural values that our gravel road cycling offers.
Here are some suggestions for rounds in slightly different styles and distances that you can download into your bike editor if you have the opportunity.
